Prospect Pressure Analysis

The Prospect Pressure Analysis application can be used to investigate if prospects are at risk for top-seal failure due to high overpressures. With the application you can quantify this risk and the potential hydrocarbon-column length in the prospect.

The application uses the following calibration data from wells:

  • Leak-off test data

  • Mud-weight data

  • Fluid Pressure data

  • Pore-Pressure Curves

  • Fracture-Gradient Curves

Using an interactive pressure-depth graph or mud-weight-depth graph you can define the current situation of the prospect in the pressure-depth space. Using uncertainty analysis, a probabilistic risk and column-length can be calculated.

 User Interface

The User Interface of the Application consists of two parts,

1) the Application and 2) a Database interface to store Evaluations.
